This listing is for a flat rate repair service for a Cognex DM8050, DM8050E or DM8050X barcode reader. We can repair any model of handheld Dataman, if you have a different model, you can follow the same procedure (and use this listing) to have it repaired. If you have a fixed mount or another Cognex device, we can probably repair it too, just get in touch. 

Here's how it works:

    2. return your item to you free of charge
  4. Once your repair is finished we'll send you a return shipping tracking number and invoice.

What should I send in with my device?

- Usually issues with this model are caused by the device itself but it is helpful if you can send in your cable just in case. If your reader uses a Bluetooth or Wireless base station, it is very important that you send that also since we want to make sure that the communication between the two devices is flawless.

Do I need to pay up front?

-No. If you prefer we can send you an invoice when we've completed your repair.

Can my company send a PO?

-Sure, no problem! See our contact info at the top of the item description or in "ask seller a question" and we'll get back to you ASAP to give you details.


Support

We're happy to help you reconfigure after the repair if you like (2 hours free of charge), using TeamViewer or any other method you'd like. 

We do make a backup of your reader's configuration before the repair process and try to make it back to exactly the way it was but sometimes different lighting environments or other variables make it necessary to do adjust some settings upon return.
